I've just got a couple of bits from Mallard Metals in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
Very happy with their service.

There is one in Bedworth (north Coventry). Used to be metal supermarket but changed hands many years ago. It doesn't do a minimum order quantity
and will cut the metal for you. If you're ordering a few lengths tell them what you're doing and see if they can do a deal.

In Winchester (down South) I've used B&M Steel as they have a depot in Winchester where I live.

Have a check here and see if they've got a depot near you.
Good stock, good prices and my local branch will cut stuff up as well so you can get it in your car, van etc. Keep in mind when using them I had a VW
Passat estate so no shortage of rear space with the back seats down. Bought box section, sheet and flat + round bar steel from them and all fine.

Believe this is now Rapid Metals on the Bayton Road Industrial Estate? Even if not, used them loads and decent prices. In fact I will be popping up
there today for more metal!
