Swindon based wannabe pro kit-car manufacturer seeks help/partner?
Live near Swindon, fancy becoming a kit-car manufacturer?
I live 10 miles South-East of Swindon and have started work on creating my own design of kit car. I have already obtained the donor components (3.6
manual XJS) and am at the stage of starting chassis design/construction
I have a reasonably well equipped workshop and a clear idea of the design in mind. If I have to do it all on my own then I will, but it would be great
to have someone else’s input and involvement.
The aim of my project is to build a satisfactory prototype and for that to become a demonstrator for the kit car manufacturing business that I would
like to start. If someone fancied getting involved then ideally this involvement would extend to starting a business and beyond.
I’m not looking for financial input, by the way, but I am putting in at least thirty hours a week myself.
Send me an email if you are interested in learning a bit more.
John

John,
It's a pity I don't stay near you as I have had similar aspirations. I would have emailed you but you haven't posted you address.
Dunc.

Talk about digging up old posts! This is more like archaeology.
Anyway, yes I would still like to create and market my own design. The Jaguar stuff turned out to be a blind alley, the weight and size of Jaguar
components is outrageous.
I am working on a mid engine car at the moment, and if it is successful then I would like to be able to put it into production. If it doesn't work
out that way then it won't matter a bit, I'll have had lots of fun along the way.
I gave up trying to get somebody else in on the project, whoever it was would need to live close by if they were going to be able to be really
involved. I don't mind, though, I get a lot of help and ideas from the other contributors right here

Hi John,
How are you getting on with the project. Is it still ongoing and if so what progress have you made?

You are Bristol? What all of it?
Where do you live? I'm in Thornbury and half way through an MK Indy build if you're interested.

Andy,
No worries, when you fancy a gander drop me a U2U and we'll arrange a time.
