pics of engine + box in chassis please

for a vauxhall 2.016v lump

stu16v etc,

wish to see how high it sits, engine mounts, etc

is it possible to mount the engine at normal 7deg or is the sfi box to high??

Hi mate, have pics but unfortunately not digital. You may have trouble trying to use the standard inlet manifold, it is not only the height which is the problem, but the inlet sweeps down low beside the block, exactly where the steering column wants to go! As for mounts, luckily I had a mate who was building a VX Westy at the same time I needed mounts, so I merely 'copied' them, using Cortina/Transit large bobbin type rubber mounts. I will try and get some piccies scanned.

i would rather start off on stock injection tbh
and save for throttle bodies

carbs dont seem like a good idea to me
