Live axle height above chassis
Hi,
With my live axle roughly in place and the trailing arms set horizontal, there is just over 1" between the bottom of the axle and the lower
chassis bars (RU1 and RU2).
Does this sound about right?

The lower trailing arm bracket height sets height of axle so if you think there isn't enough room between axle and chassis lift the lower
bracket up a little....not too much mind as this lowers the rear of the car

Yep, though of that, but I can also shorten the shock.
Was originally just wondering how much gap was actually needed.
I'm gonna use GTS shocks so if they are set so that at full "droop/extension", the axle sits just above the chassis - that should be
fine shouldn't it?

thats what ive done on my front end pat, i let the bone droop til the ball joint lock up, then lifted it 10mm and welded the upper bracket in place.
all seems well for now!
