trial fitting
i could do with a favour . i,m all but set for starting my chassis build but have a slight problem- i,m 6ft 4inches tall and 17st in weight. i could
do with a trial fitting in a locost to help me decide what build spec to use[+4 etc].is there anybody in the lancashire area prepaired to let me have
a sit in their car for a measure up. thanks ade.

Ade, have you ever sat in one in the past?
I am 6ft 8" tall and 18 1/2 stones and the only car I could get anywhere near getting in was the Viento. No Locost came close for me.

not in a locost but in th late 80s built myself a much modyfied dutton pheaton and i fitted that [just]

Shame you could not have got across to Harrogate.
I dont want to be a negative voice here but I think you are going to be looking at a very stretched out chassis (far more than +4)
Hope you get to sit in someones soon so you can get planning.
I would suggest a trip to Luego, you could then sit in there locost and also the Viento so you can see which you will fit in.

much will depend on the type of seat- bench will give you a few extra inches in lenth. I am 245 lbs and 6'4 and I dont really fit in a book
chassis. I have built my own that I had made to fit an older lemans racer but have since shortend - In the process right now- to a point that I am
ending up with around a 94 -95 inch wheelbase and going for look much like the NGTC.
So, you may have to modify it to fit but make sure everything you want to do before hand. The extra 2 inches in height of the frame is as or more
important than the extra lenght.

Im 6.3" and 16 1/2 stone (Im still working on the second bit ) The locost is going to be a challenge to drive but with pads for the seats and
floor mounted pedals its going to be snugg 
If you sit in other cars it may put you of. Every body makes the car to fit themselfs .

I am 14.5 stone and 6ft tall, and I only fit in my book Locost by using Triton's fibreglass seats that put me right back in the car! My
previous seats (baby cubs) put me just a little too far forward to be comfortable.
A visit to Luego sounds like a fine idea.

I think you might find that the bigger guys migrate this way after finding out that its not possible to them to drive some of the sportscars they
first liked.
I found a good deal on a porsche 914 but it would have been impossible for me to drive it as the pedals were so close together and cramped. At least
now I have lots of room and its going to be alot cheaper in the long run- and alot faster.

Totally agree with Dale, there are very very few stock coupe or sports cars that I will fit in so we have to get our fun somewhere
