Track Width
It seems pretty inevitable that I will end up with a back axel wider than the escort type whether it is a Sierra or something else. If I use a book
chassis the front track will be narrower than the back track is this a problem?
I have not seen any design that has longer wishbones is it possible to lengthen these or is it sensible as I have seen some incidents of bent standard
length lower wishbones on the forum.
If I understand the McSorely drawings his +4 chassis makes the whole length of the car 4" wider. As I am not keen on doing my own fibreglass is
there any available fiberglass to fit the +4 chassis?

Buy the font wishbones in -- the book design isn't good and making the wishbone is a very time consuming part of the build most of the
(reoputeable) Locost parts suppliers do wide track wishbones for the Sierra front end.

You've made the bottom of the chassis 4" wider? But not the top?
What effect does that have on the wishbone mounts?
Cheers,

That must really alter your suspension geometry and inevitably alter the handling characteristics of you car does it not?

mounts are ok , wishbone is a tiny bit longer , but geometry is still good , im using the original strut tho as the upright - as far as i can tell tho
, the upright ball joint position isnt to far away from a sierra based one . so really its only the bottom wishbone thats lots different .
if you come to brands hatch on sept 17th , youll see !!
