wooden panels
hi i have got a 7locost with a purpose made chassis with the old cortina front suspension thats how old it is.I have got the old bench seats in the
car and i am strugling fitting the 3 point harness the top one will fit on the roll cage but do the two bottom ones need to go to the chassis for the
sva (how do i add photos to my profile ) Thanks

The bottom ones need to go on the chassis either with triangle welded on or threaded tubes.
Wheres the wood? OOOps too slow.
wooden floor? Is it a locust?

hope it is the chassis was made by a kit car company and the called it a locost .i thought all the old locost had a marine plywood body tub ?covered
with alloy body it that wright?

Locost is metal spaceframe, scratchbulit to ron champions plans, locust is wooden frame significant difference there.

Yes its a Locust and the outside bottom seat belt mounts are a problem as there is no chassis there. You had best phone up the SVA station to see
whether they would allow spreader steel plates under the floor. I somewhat doubt it. You may have to weld some steelwork back to the chassis
underneath,which could also be a problem if the tub is perminantly fixed.
I had one some years ago but got it through on an MOT 1 week before SVA's for that very reason.
