Suspension brackets
What is the general opinion on making U shaped suspension brackets by welding 3 pieces of 3mm steel plate together to make the U shape instead of by
folding them ??. Would welded ones be as strong as folded ones ?

Buy some 50x50mmx3.25mm RHS and cut out the welded side
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Just my opinion but they are a lot of work for what they cost . Cutting and welding consumables ect.

I need the brackets to be 25mm deep to mount on the side of a 25mm box section and suitable for the bushes I have which have 38mm wide crush tubes.
Not sure anything of the shelf will be suitable. ?
