hey,
I've had a look into volvo price and I reckon I could get the parts fairly cheap but how would you sort out the correct hubs. I'd probably end up using sierra uprights at the front so the hubs rear and front would end up being different. Sorry about asking about absolutely everything but I am pretty much an amature at all this so am just trying to build up some knowledge. I feel my options so far are volvo axle or sierra axle with a de dion setup. At least the sierra axle would mean I end up with the same hubs front and back. Or is there a way to modify the volvo rear or front hubs that would work?
Either this or is it possible to use the BMW axle with a de dion set up and modify the front wishbone set up for the BMW front uprights?
With respect to the gearbox, I think I'll just stick with the current box as I have a low budget and am building the larger chassis ayway so it should fit in. But cheers for the advice.
Cheers all
Tom

you can redrill the rear halfshafts to suit ford PCD , or you can use volvo front struts cut down to fit your wishbones .

mine are setup like this - its really easy to do - the wishbone will be a little harder to make , but not much

A company in Estonia called Racetech built a BWW based locost using the DeDion tube from a Volvo 340 located by a Watt's linkage.

I've had a look at their SITE but the only reference I can find to it now is in the ORDERS page, car number A009.

Perhaps someone remembers some more details about it.
