Polo Rad fixing screws
I have tried looking for other threads but not found any on this..... Can someone advise me of the screw type and size that is used to fasten the
bracket to the Polo VW302 radiator.... is it a plastic selt tapper...?
Thanks in advance

Tinks, I used ordinary zinc plated self-tappers but make sure they are blind ended or cut the points off - just to make sure they don't go too
far!

I tapped the holes M6 as they are a 5mm hole anyway. Fine if not done up too tight.

Length?
Tapped holes to 6mm and cut bolts to suit , if they are too long they will bottom out and probably break through.

There is a Merc A class airfilter mount which is a double ended M6 with an antivibration rubber bonded between. (basically an antivibration mout) this
is what I've used. Works a treat.
Studs are the right length and you get anti-vib mounts too
Part number is on here somewhere.....

I had nothing the right size, so I ordered a set of the official self-tappers from VW. They had a full set for me the next morning, total cost was
something like £1.80 ...
