Mcsorley +442 with 1.5" x 1.5"

Hi to all,
I have started the cutting of the tubes to McSorley +442 plans but using 1.5" X 1.5" 14 Ga tubes where 1" is used and 1"X1" 14 Ga. where 3/4". the problem I encountered is the length of the diagonals change from the plan. I would like to have all of my tubes already cut prior to welding, but there are some tubes that I don`t have a length.
Any tips??
Or should I start the welding and then measure and cut as required?
thanks in advance.
PS: I am willing to document the build if someone else ever wants to go this way.
I am fitting a Mustang Engine/Trans/Diff/Uprights

If you are trying to maintain the same overall dimensions then virtually every piece will be a different length, not just the diagonals.

Welding has begun,
I have made sub assemblies to ease the build.
First was the floor as in the book, today I made two identical assemblies of the tubes M, N, H and K, these were made on a jig on top of build table. These will be welded to the previous assembly tomorrow.
