help needed- radiator mount

am after a big favour from someone. Was having a little trouble making the front radiator mount as per the book, for a number of reasons. This is all that is holding me up at the moment, so was wondering if someone who is building the chassis could make one for me. Would be willing to pay a generous sum for it as it would save me a hell of a time, and buying more metal etc. Please please can someone say yes, cos otherwise its yellow pages time again!

Thanks, Mark

What sort of radiator are you planning to use. Most people seem to use the nissan micra or vw polo ones. Looking at the book it would be hard to fabricate mounts without having the radiator and the chassis in front of you to make adjustments as neccessary. The book ones are no more than bent 3mm steel. Make some templates out of cereal packet and drop into your local fabricator on a friday lunchtime with £20 in you hand. Alternatively buy an offcut of 3mm steel (I bought a 4' x 4' offcut of 1.2mm steel for £2 !!!!), then use your cardboard templates to mark out what you want... go to the local fabricators on friday .... with £10 in your hand etc.

Failing this where are you ? sure one of us will be near to you. I'm in Loughborough (Midlands). I don't mind welding the things up if you cut them out and bring them round.

Of course the book shows the mounts welded to the chassis, presume you would do this ??
