rons books + sierra uprights
My car is sierra uprights but to rons book.
Could any-one give me the locations of the front suspension brackets + lengths angles of metal in front front chassis member L. I can work out FU1
and FU2 afterwards to suit.
Saves me trying to work out something that I've no doubt hundreds of builders have done before me.

Edited to say: I would redesign it myself, but wish to use normal dimension nosecone + not find out I've put a tube in the way of the steering
rack :-)

Check out the new book and the Avon build book they both use Sierra bits. It depends where you got your wishbones or dimensions to make them from as
the Cortina size wishbones won't work.

Thanks caber, but the new book is no good as it is much wider at the front end; at a guess over 2 inches*. This will completely cock up the front
geometry (even though it uses the sierra uprights).
Once I've got the bracket locations sorted I can design the wishbones (I'm not that lazy).
I haven't seen the Avon book. How's that put together?
*EDIT. Checked new book against old. While L isn't dimensionally much different. New lower book wishbone is 458.5mm *2, while old book
wishbone is 350ish. This will increase track width by quite a bit.

Just buy some Book 'bones that go to the Sierra uprights mate. Much less hassle
|
|
