Chassis Plans
Can anyone tell me how I can get my hands on a set of w7de chassis drawing plans? Ive found the mcsorley plans in pdf and would like to compare
against the GTS chassis. I don't really want to spend £20 on them though.

do a search on the web or here for drawings, there's free plans in the web in pdf, cad etc. certainly no need to pay for them

......Someone pointed this out to me a long time ago...
No offence intended...
You are potentially going to spend thousands building your car....Why not spend a teeny tiny fration of the total cost on BUYING a set of plans that
show you what to do....Deffinately money well spent..
(I appreciate getting stuff lo-cost is the aim of this site, but £20 is nothing if you are serious!)
Good luck mate!

Actually, having seen the GTS plans in the past £20 is quite a lot for them. I appreciate that it is the development work that you are paying for but
I would've expected more than a few A4 sheets.

Thanks guys for all of your input
Tegwin - No offence taken and I totally agree with your comments.
I dont really want to buy the plans if they are as Richard describes.

The thing people seem to be missing with plans is that it's not important how pretty or impressive they look because what you're actually
buying is a set of dimensions not a piece of art So, although it's preferable for them to be presented well, as long as the dimensions are
complete, clear and accurate it doesn't actually matter if the plans are just a few sheets of A4.
I haven't seen a full set of Darrens chassis drawings so I can't comment on the content or value for money but I have seen all the
McSorley and Rorty ones which people like because they look pretty (and are free....) but both have important dimensions missing or bits of chassis
just ignored so tbh in terms of technical drawings they are a bit rubbish. But then you get what you pay for.....
By the way I'm sure both Mr McSorley and Rorty are capable of excellent technical detailing and I'm not questioning the actual content of
their drawings, I'm just commenting on the quality of the actual drawings as they exist

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
