Theres a steel supplier in Corby that i asked who could supply it in a range sizes but they had to order it in.I would go for 1.5mm wall thickness
though.

Hi it has been tried in 16g and did not work for long. Although that was a fairly wide track car. Nether had any problems with the 14g even with very
wide track.
When trying to order ect don't ask for OVAL as that is true oval. Ask for flat sided oval furniture tubing. Most should carry this in stock in
various sizes.
HTH cheers Matt

How much is 14 gauge in mm?
I know 16 gauge is something like 1.6 mm, but never understood the logic behind a higher number being a smaller dimension. Is it 2 mm?
