RAW STRIKER CHASSIS NO. / VIN PLATE ???
I HAVE BOUGHT A NEW RAW STRIKER KIT. WHEN I GOT THE CHASSIS HOME I COULD`NT FIND THE CHASSIS NUMBER AND I NEVER GOT A VIN PLATE EITHER.
I CONTACTED MEL AT RAW AND WAS TOLD THAT HE DID`NT STAMP THE CHASSIS AND DOES`NT SUPPLY A VIN PLATE EITHER ??
A FEW YEARS AGO I BUILT A NEW WESTFIELD KIT AND THE CHASSIS WAS STAMPED AND VIN PLATE SUPPLIED.
ANYBODY ELSE OUT THERE WITH A STRIKER WITH NO CHASSIS NUMBER OR VIN PLATE PLATE ?
WILL THIS HAVE ANY EFFECT WITH SVA/MOT`S ETC IN THE FUTURE ??

No problem.
Contact the local DVLA when you are ready to stamp a number and they will supply you with one.
You can make a simple plate.
If you feel like making your own number up then check first with the local DVLA and get it in writting that its ok.
I made my own 17 digit Vin number up with my name, make of car and year svaed in it.

It is nothing to worry about.
It is very common for the (non westfield/caterham) kitcar manufacturers to Not have chassis numbers...

Vin PLate
Hi guys,
I have a RAW Striker, and when I was building it I gave Mel a call, who gave me a specific number...think it started with RAW_____ Then I stamped that
number onto an L shaped piece of ali, and the epoxy bonded it to the chasis in the engine bay...jobs a good un as far as SVA went.
Hope this helps
Matt
