Independent Rear Suspension
Hi,
I've started building my locost and done a lot of the chassis now, started with the intention of using an english axle but now decided to use
the running gear from the sierra that I got. I've heard that the irs set up in the haynes book is a little bit insubstantial, does anybody know
of some good irs designs? Cheers, Tom

The haynes design seems find to me, but I am biased as I building one,
If you're unsure ask Chris (Outlaw?), sure he'll be a long in a minute, the chassis was designed using CAD and was properly stressed so
should be fine for our applications.
Unless your'e building a rallycross locost!!

Yes, the Haynes roadster design! It's excellent, and you can buy a lot of the bits readymade which will speed the build too.
