whats it worth
Hi, this is my first post in months now, having been unable to find time to even come on the forum never mind get in the garage. Ive just been
wondering what my cars worth in bits if i were to sell up and put money towards buying one already completed. I realise it would be best to break it
so ive priced up most bits, but i cant guess what the chassis worth. its a factory avon chassis with ali floor and backrest, fuel tank, wishbones and
a diff fitted. ive welded every bracket i can think on to it so its ready for blasting and painting. also have the bodywork and tub, which is
modified to get rid of usual tiger bonnet gap and incorporates front hinged nose bonnet and scuttle in one. Neraly ready for filling and spraying but
still requires some work on the tub. Its unlikely that i will sell it, as i still enjoy it when i can and i have everything to complete it, id just
rather be driving and tinkering, than building for another year or two. So what d'ya reckon its worth and anyone interested :-) Also whats the
best time of year to sell? Thanks

I would be guided by the price someone would have to pay buying new, then ask for a proprotion of that. Maybe 2/3 if you were feeling lucky, or 1/2 if
you needed to shift it quickly

best time to sell? My guess is autumn as most folks would be looking for a project over winter, but ideally when there is no credit crunch nor when
the economy is going t1t5 up.
