There's some good stuff in "750 Racer" by Peter Herbert and Dick Harvey ISBN: 1852604476. It's particularly appropriate to Locosts because it's all mild steel tube work in 1" square and round.
I've also just bought the re-print of "High Speed - Low Cost" by Allan Staniforth and it's a great read.

The Cornish "dreckly" is a little like the Spanish Manyana, but without the same sense of urgency.

MikeR - don't take Amazon's word for it. I went into a local bookshop (Just Books in Halifax), asked them to order a copy and it was there the next week.

Cheers Mark

Sounds spot on to me!!

Yes Ian, still got it, you'll get it back.....!!

IMO "750 Racer" is worth finding, an enjoyable read, but what about "Racing & Sports Car Chassis Design" by Michael Costin & David Phipps?? The definitive chassis design text, also out of print.
Got mine from E-Bay.

Ken.

Sorry Oldgit!!!!!
Should read RMc. Fat finger syndrome!
The reason why Amazon bounced your order is that they are trying to screw the price down, and consequently they don't have stock to sell.
Oooops,
Ian
