Read on mon brave......
p54 last para " Once you're happy with things you can proceed and fully weld the whole chassis"
You tack 'im up first make sure everything is in the right place THEN you fully weld......standard fabrication procedure
I should add: following the valid points added below...conitnually checking alignment etc as you go.

tack welding is especially useful if anything is going to be adapted, ie for different engine/gearbox combo's etc.
means two secs with a grinder and the tube is free again!!

If you fully weld as you go along, your chassis will probably bow in the middle, and may twist longditudinally - not good
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Leave the suspension brackets off.Once everything is tacked and your happy with how striaght it all is.Measyre from corner to corner and so
fifth.Fully weld the chassis together. Then put your brackets on your nice fully welded frame. You can now know they are dead level from side to side
etc.Your frame has become a very solid datum referance.
