New Locost project

Hey everyone, hows it going? Just wanted to say hi, Ive been lurking here for a few days, and decided to post my pics up.

I won a donor car off ebay last night, a 1988 toyota supra . Inline 6 engine 3liters (about 3000cc's) turbo, an engine that can be easily coaxed to the "safe" limit of about streetable 500 hp with good tuning of course, stock it has just about 210. But a capable engine. It is a little larger than most of the 4's that have been traditionally used, but I think I might be able to shoehorn it in.

These pics are outdated as the chassis is finished except for the trans tunnel, and the 3 longer square tubes in the engine bay. I still need to finish weld it, but I am waiting for the engine/tranny and rear before I add the tunnel and finish weld it.

Oh yeh and the pics of the "finished car" with the doors and engine and tranny were kinda me and my buddy joking, those are treu finished photos

Hi Derf,

Welcome to LB, looks like an interesting project. Should be very fast as well, makes me want more power already and I haven't even driven mine yet.

Good Luck!

Nick
