Rust Proofing

Thinking about tarting up and protecting my Zook chassis I've been looking round all the usual rust products.

The chassis is sound with only slight surface discoloration round welds etc. The rest of the chassis is coated in what looks like underseal with a coat of white paint over the top.

Not wanting to peel all this hardly touch coating off I just want to clean, wire brush, degrease then whack something on top to protect before the final top coat

Whats the best stuff? Axles are rusty as well so idle, a wire brush then something that will suit both?

Any recommendations??

Ta,
Steve

For my zook at the weekend it was a wire brush then Halfrauds Underbody sealer heated up on a gas stove and sprayed on with an Oiler Spray gun. Messy job but works.

Remember to blow out the sucktion pipe on the Spray gun between each re-fill of the can as it goes cool and won;t flow.

DON;t Thin the underbody sealer as it then won;t set.
