Book Vs Mcsorley chassis for sierra???

the mcsorley +4 chassis gives 4 inch wider body. has anyone used this and would it be better to use those plans over the 'book' chassis when using a sierra donor????? does it still look the same???

I think there's standard chassis plans on Jim's site as well.
Regarding the 4" though- bear in mind that the Sierra track is 3.5-4.0" wider than the escort so they should go togther well. Atleast I hope so as my chassis is 4" wider aswell!!!

I haven't studied Jim's plans myself in much detail as I've done my own (not nearly as professionally!) but the McSorley plans car will look slightly different as it's the same length but wider so it's differently proportioned.
If you are worried about that then you obviously could consider lengthening it but beware! It's far harder that it at first seems and if you don't do it using some sort of CAD package then you're as foolish as me and are gonna make your life very hard!

Several builders here (Jasper to name one off the tope of my head) have used Jim's plans and they appear to be very happy with them.

Good Luck,

James

I'm using the McSorely +4 plans for my sierra based car, and apart from the steering rack (which i'm going to sort out later), things seem to be going ok so far.
