Chassis and car identification
Hi Guys newbie here. im looking to get into building a kit car and am trying to convince myself to take the jump.
I have been looking at the bits and pieces around to see if i get a project already started
can anyone id the chassis in the pic and what is poeples expert opinions on the car and what would you say is a good value i can expect to pay for
it
I have probably forgot to ask something but hopefully someone on here can assist me as im new to all this.
the car in the pics comes with the haynes build a sports car book but i am unsure if i will be able to use this if any1 can give advice all help is
appreciated

Haynes Locost Kit Car Unfinished Project | eBay
Front end looks locost, back end is irs so my guess would be a home brew.
Of the shelf bits may or may not fit so your skill level will have a large impact on how well you get on with it.
Its had some money spent and IF the welding was good and the chassis true I would go to about £600 allowing half that for the donor package thats with
it.

thanks for the replys guys dont need photo now as someone has linked the add for me. that is the car available do you guys think i would be better
buying a chassis and starting from scratch ie sourcing my own donor vehicle etc thanks for your time

Do you have the ability to take it on and complete with out an instruction manual ? You may need to add and alter parts as you go. Cutting, welding,
designing ect.
There has got to be £300 of sierra donor bits there at current prices.

to be honest as it would be my first 1 i would not want to go at it without a manual of some kind as a reference

You would be amased at what you can teach yourself but not many scratch part builds ever get finished.

i really appreicate your replys do you think i would be better off buying a chassis and sourcing my own donor so i know i have everything etc. the
trouble with buying 1 that has been started and not finished is i am not really going to kno what im buying ie if engine and box are ok.if chassis is
exactly as it should be ie not like the 1 above which cannoe really be identified

Another thing to think about.
I made my own chassis. I did learn plenty but didnt save much cash compared with an of the shelf branded one.
Now my car is done its worth far less with out the branding. Much more than the cash saved making my own.
