Chassis Painting?
Think I've dropped a boo boo here...
Basically I took my chassis down to the blasters get rid of some old paint and rust... they were in the process of blasting and coating some off shore
modules and offered to primer up my chassis while they were on..
Go on then I said.... thing is I still had a couple snags to weld, brake hose brackets, that sort of thing..
So goes back to see about some primer to touch it up.. sent me to the paint shop where I found out the stuff is designed to last 30 years in a harsh
salt water environment. Great me thinks, chassis will last forever..
Problem is I need to prep the primered chassis for the top coat and the small bits that need a bit more primer.. they said just give it rub with
P320...
So thats me stumped, I'm nee good with paint, cosmetics etc..
The paint cost a fortune and is 2 pack acrylic polyurethane...
http://www.hempel.com/en/products/hempathane-topcoat-55210
IS it, as simple as rubbing over with P320 and rollering the stuff on? Lot of corners and inside corners on a chassis.. Is it very critical?
I just havent got a clue where to start!
HELP!

Ask the manufacturers for a data sheet, they cannot legally refuse due to HSE regs - all your questions will be answered
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

did you ask for a quote on the powder coating?
i too was going to spray my chassis but got bored prepping it so phoned my local coaters and they did it all for less than the cost of 2k materials
and time and effort..

I didnt want powder coat, and I'm too far down the line (chassis primed, paint bought) to go anywhere else.
What I need is some advise on actually apply the 2 pack, cleaning up after etc..

All the info is on the data sheet isn't it? Says you can brush it on.
