Great video, 1st Atom is damn quick.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Great shot from the Mazda seeing the three of you fly past him

What engine is that Dave?
400 per tonne I am guessing it's around 220 bhp?
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.
The engine is a ca18det on stage2, so 262bhp exactly (has been RR). Its a 20year old engine of unknown condition so I don't really want to push
it anymore really. A custom remap would see 280+, maybe. Not sure of weight but its at least 620+ I would think.
Warren - you have more of a garage than a shed :-p Whatever its a great car he he. On the day I only let the Ariel's passed, that was it I
think. The comment on the Mazda's video says it all really lol
Coozer - not more power needed, better brakes! The atoms pull so well out of the corners as they're both supercharged, I'm sat waiting for
the boost :-(

Do you think the atom is a better handling car or just faster?

Both - less weight, more power and hundreds of thousands in R & D

Where was that? How much?
And do you drive the Locost there and back or are you taking it on a trailer?
Sorry for all the questions but it looks ace, and if one day soon I get my Mac#1 on the road I would love to take it somewhere like this

It does sound rather epic Dave!
Upgraded brakes, decent damping and some good rubber should see a very fast car indeed! Especially on a larger circuit where you can really stretch its
legs

There's a few questionables on the Atom for something with £100Ks in devel, from what I hear.

The microphone is inside my cone filter, it is loud anyway but without the external mic you just get wind noise.
Daniel - I'm now on "sticky rubber", not 888s but semi slicks none the less. I haven't got the funds for protec or similar
dampers so the Gaz will have to stay - brakes are a good possibility though so will be changed asap.
Vtecmike - its an ally one from eBay, I also suffer from heat. 6 laps at Blyton and I need to come in to let it cool. I'm adding flared panels
next month to try and let the heat out faster. Blyton problem is there are no long straights so you never really get proper airflow.
