FAO: Anyone building a ST or Leugo Live Axle. Help!
Hi All,
if anyones building a live axle version of the Stuart taylor locost, i wonder if they could do me a big favour, before i hand over some wedge?
i've got a set of MK live axle suspension wishbones i want to use. what I want to know is, will they fit the STor Leugo?
if someone could measure the distances between brackets (outer extremity to outer extremity, inner to inner, top and bottom) that would be
marvellous.
Hope someone can help.

thats some nice work there.
IRS would be nice, but practicalities (and a garage full of bits!), means live axle it is.
maybe for the next one!

My wishbones will not fit an Avon without moving the pick up points...

Hi,
i wasn't really considering an Avom anyway.
My reasoning is that Leugo and ST 'may' have taken the book chassis pick up dimensions, thus allowing me to use my existing MK suspension.
Nice IRS set up though, conrats.

I guess you have two options assuming the wishbones don't fit, either move the pick up points to suit or fabricate/buy new wishbones..

make that three! sell mine and buy either Luego/ST.
if I could sell the axle and front Cotina uprights as well, I'd go IRS, but there's no takers.
So, hopefully, they'll fit!

You can't sell cortina uprights???
you could still use the cortina uprights and have an irs rear..

Good suggestion.
Wonder if a Cortina front and IRS rear in an ST/Leugo/MK is a possibility? (As you can tell, don't really want to make my own chassis!)

Don't see why not, it's only wishbones after all..

I'm fairly sure Luego's live axle car is to the book so your bits will fit. Best idea is probablt to give Grant and Matt a call and
ask!

Yes - my ST chassis has Cortina uprights and Sierra/Scorpio based IRS at the rear.

Hi Eddie,
many thanks for that, sounds excellent.
I'll have a deeper butchers at your site, is it okay if i pester you with a few more questions later!?
if you get a chance, could you measure the width (outside of mount to outside of mount) of your front wishbones? i would be eternally grateful!
Cheers,
kelvin
