Which part to move to balance
Not shore where to place this as it impacts on Engine and Electrics, but I think the chassis is the wright one.
Was looking at what I can moove to improve the balance and unclutter the engine bay.
1) The battery can be moved into the back.
2) Has anybody moved the altenator to the back and ran it from the drive shaft?

Why would you need to do that, balance is as close to 50-50 as you can get on a book car.
I don't like big sparky things near my petrol tank either

you can place your engine more towards the end.
Don't think the altenator wil bring much.
Battery, take a light one and place it in the rear as low as possible.

check out this guys car,
http://www.wurlyvalve.i12.com/
he moved the alternator to the back and it has the 2.8 V6 from and XR4, he has links to email him so he might be able to help you there, but i would
agree with what was said abouve, electrical stuff that could produce sparks (i.e the brushes inside the alternator or the battery its self) next to a
petrol tank could be inviting a bit of bad luck
