2m x 1m Aluminium Sheet costs?
As per the title, there is a sheet metal stockists around the corner from my work and I nipped over at lunch to get a price on a 2m x 1m x 1.5mm sheet
for the rear bulkhead, battery tray, dash, tunnel, etc.
They want £40.00 for the sheet, is this a good price?

Sounds about right to me although it's usually sold in 8' x 4' (2.4m x 1.2m) sheets.

I have been buying from Aluminium Droitwich off ebay.
1000mmx500mmx1mm £13.48
Carriage is £8 and you get it delivered next day and can cut it to a smaller size if you wish.

Try ringing your local Metal Supermarket for a cost comparison. I've used them once or twice and they tend be a bit expensive but will
provide very small amounts and cut it to size for you.
There's a store finder HERE

MK sell 8' x 4' by 1.0mm at £49 per sheet so guess the price isnt too bad. Is their 1.0mm sheet any cheaper??
Gotta work out if travelling around is worthwhile though .

I've decided that I'm going to make mine out of either fibreglass or in a weak moment, maybe CF. The fibreglass option won't cost
much more than the ally.
