alu was about 45 quid a sheet when I got mine 3 years back.

alu has a specific gravity of approx 3 and steel around 8.

so, alu will weigh 3/8ths of that of an equiv sized steel sheet.

I used 16g in 2mtr x 1 mtr sheets from a firm called Hammer Goodlad round the Eckington area. They cost around £18 a sheet +vat but did not have protective covering. This was about 3 years ago.

yours, Pete.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Chris, I'd appreciate the name/address of where you got yours from, your only 10 mins up the road from me (obviously strictly sticking to the legal limit on the a12! )

Got any details for steel sheet and tube suppliers around the area? Need a few off cuts.

Cheers.
