curved bar from top rail to top of coilover mounting
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what the distance is from the bottom of the curved bar to the angled join that forms the upward pointing bar they joins to make the
top suspension mounting/ rollbar mounting.
my chassis hasnt got it on yet and i cant find a reference to it in the book.

I've got to do mine too.... might have to hold the wings in place and follow the curve. Fitting the metal where appropiate.

Mine's not done either.
Thing is, it depends on the radius of the wings which is going to vary per manufacturer isn't it?
Unless there's a Locost GRP standard we weren't aware of!
Cheers,

I didnt even bother making/fitting that bit, I just made some ali panels cut to shape to 'fill' the gap left by the wheel arches.
HTH Stu.
Dont just build it.....make it!

Doesn't that mean a good percentage of the wing isn't fixed to anything substantial?

I don't know quite what dimensions you mean, but mackie has a CAD model of a mcsorley 7+4 chassis.. should be the same as book apart from width
measurements I think.
If you drop him a u2u explaining what you're after he should be able to take the measurement from CAD.

Mmmm. I thought that initially too. Then I compared them to how the front wings are mounted.......

That is true lol my front wings are very tight to my tyres... might have to rethink the mountings!!!! Gonna have a go at the rear arches soon, well at
least try and get the curved bar in !
