Sierra steering column mounting
Does anyone have any close up shots of the mountings for the sierra column?
I am more interested in the lower one really and how the bearing is mounted / supported?
Thanks,
Dan

Do you have any from the other end?
I am trying to decide how to support the bearing.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan.
It might be worth considering that you WILL hopefully have the extra chassis member from the outer chassis rail to the inner intermediate cross member
on your race chassis. This provides an excellent opportunity to mount the column 100% firmly to the chassis.
Sorry no pics of the arrangement but if you want U2U me and i will do a drawing of the fabricated mount that will fit this aplication.
Cheers Matt
Ps on the race car DO NOT take the column through the front bulkhead. Mount the column above the bulkhead. Gives a much better angle for the column.
And leaves the required room around the pedals to set them up and generally dance your feet.
As per big_wasa's front mounting mounting above.
