Vin Plate

Is it a SVA requirement to fit a Vin Plate on a kit car which details chassis number \ engine number \ registration

nah, you just need to put a plate with the chassis number and you need to stamp the chassis too, all on the offside.

Not even that. You only have to stamp the chassis or stamp a plate and weld that to the chassis. On the offside.

The letter I got fromDVLA said to put it on the offside so you may have accidentally got it right when you put yours on the drivers side.

My letter from dvla did not specify anywhere in particular or side in particular. Now there's a surprise NOT.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Major manufacturers are now putting the stamp almost anywhere these days, so maybe the offside rule may not be applicable (nobody understood it anyway)

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
