What should I be paying for materials?
Just need a rough idea to check my quote against!
3m of 19mm 16swg seamless tube (or nearest size)
3m of 22mm 14swg tube or nearest size
4x3m of 25x25x16swg box section
waiting for the guy to come back with a price and wondered what ballpark it should be in?
cheers

I’d get more than one quote, prices do vary a lot, Ron would have got all that for £10 no doubt, in the scrap skip

ERW is quite ok for wishbones, many race car constructors use it.

A number of the kit makers use ERW for wisbone construction. Certainly MK use ERW oval tube on theirs.

Try Skerry Steel in Blantyre.
I paid £11.74 inc. VAT for 40x40x3mm equal angle there yesterday. That was for 6.0m
Parkersteel want £30.01 vat for the same thing.
Metal Supermarket were £22 plus VAT.
Shop4 steel were £12.10 plus VAT.
They take cash or card and are quite happy to deal with any quantity so long as it's a minimum order of a full length.
Shop local YKIMS.....
