Headlight mounting
I need to mount my headlights and have made some ally brackets to mount them. I need to attach these to the chassis and the easy way is with rivnuts.
The problem is that 6mm fixings need a 7.98mm hole in a 26mm box section. Welding studs would make a mess of my nice paint job. How many people have
used rivnuts?

hope you've used substantially thick aluminum? as I mounted some chrome driving lights on to a 5mm thick aluminium panel and the damn things cut
a perfect 2 inch hole round the mounting point due to the lamps vibrating and fell off

Thanks guys... I may have to re-think the thickness of the ally plate but at least I can get it mocked up! Thanks again for the advice!
