Caterham S3 Front Uprights
Which front uprights does the 2007 S3 Caterham use.
Are they from a donor car or custom made.
Thanks

Pretty sure it is a Caterham part which was derived from a Spitfire upright.

Standard motor company that came from Herald and Spitfire ect.
The Hubs are custom made but are freely available from one of the motorsport suppliers.
The brakes that fit this setup are a tad pricey.

I don't think they used the normal Spitfire/Herald upright --- I think was the very early version which had bolt on caliper and streering arm
mounts. The stubaxle also was a seperate part.
On later Heralds and Spitfires the steering arm and caliper braket and stub axle were part of the main casting.
The Vitesse & GT6 -- had a different bolt on version with a beefier stub axle and brackets for M16 or P16 calipers.
By 207 Catetham were using a version with the threads turned off to accomodate the spherical bearing they used innplace of the lower trunnion.
These parts are now made by a small firm in Coventry
