IRS ride height - 2B
hello, I am at the moment doing my homework with all 7 type kitcars. I have noticed that most 2B's have a high rear ride height with respect to
the arches, making it to me look odd. is this normal? can it e easly rectified? thanks

adjustable suspension for ride height can make a car higher or lower according to need. Most suspension is damping adjustable, but pay a little more
and height will be adjustable too.
Have heard varying things about robin hood's, if you are thinking of buying one?
Guarantee others will say the same.

Try joining the Yahoo site for Hoodies, there is a constant list of tales of woe. I was thinking about a 2B until I read how awkward they can be to
build, mainly due to manufacturing tollerances (bodgery!!)
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Yes.

No.
Well, thats a slight porky. The ride height can be adjusted, but unfortunately you end up with some funny rear wheel angles due to the semi trailing
arm suspension.....
Dont just build it.....make it!

its quiet lately
cos rh had the fantastic idea of not selling anything for several months while they developed another car.
just imagine if a mainstream real company did that

I have first hand experience of this and its bloody difficult to get right
You can drop the ride height and bodge the camber to get it looking right but under no circumstances by the crappy coilovers from Tricky Dickey at
Robin Hood. If you do or if you use the donor springs you tend to end up road ploughing every time you hit an undulating bit of road.
You will need some decent coil overs and springs.
I decided to sell my 2B and go down the locost route because of the poor handling and rather portly dimensions of the 2b Its "interesting"
handling is probably its biggest let down whilst the build quality is up to you.
That said the Robin hood 2B is fine for fun days out and for the price it’s hard to beat,
just don’t think you will keep up with the hot hatch kids even in a 2L injected pinto because you wont!
