Why would anyone think that a SMOT ramp would work? The energy lost during the deceleration phase is cleary regained during the acceleration but because it is inputed quickly the visual appearance is one of "added energy".

Anyway, some of the SMOT ramps rely on the gravitational pull to get the thing rolling and surely any experiments on perpetual motion must exclude the impact of gravity?!?!
