Steering support question

Hi, i'm new to the site. I'm most of the way through the chassis build using the newer sierra book, and need a couple of measurements please.
I can't find the spacing of the two CP15 brackets along the steering wheel support frame(SS2 maybe, i don't have the book on me), and i don't have the donor car yet to size it up?

thanks

Hi Sam,

Welcome to the site.

Always worth putting your approximate location in your profile as there may be builders local to you who can help.

Also, did you know there's a dedicated Haynes forum for those building this car?

Cheers,
James

There is no Dim in the book as the columns are apparently different from car to car
Best bet is to get your column and measure the spacing on that and fit the brackets accordingly

Its one of the later things to do, when you have the seat and pedals in place hold the wheel where it most suits you and make backets up.

Mine drops down between clutch and brake pedal as I like a bit of an angle others have them more horizontal.
