What tyre pressure for R888s on track day?

Hello all, just wonder what tyre pressures people recommend as giving the car a check over prior to the track day at RAF ODIHAM on 21 Feb.

It has the team dynamic wheels, and the tyres are R888s 195/50/15 profiles.

Thanks

Lee

This time of year,I would start off with 18 psi all round, you can drop to a starting pressure of around 16 psi when the weather gets a bit warmer.

way too little info to get a precise answer!

to get the answer you want, you need to answer the following questions:-

a) what are the weights at each corner of the car. b) how do you want the car to handle (understeer, oversteer, neutral) c) what suspension geometry (camber etc) you have dialled in d) what type of circuit (tight and twisty/long and straight) e) what is your driving style (smooth or jerky)

but the most important question is how does it handle now and at what pressure? ( 18 -20 psi is a good starting point though) and this could drop as temp rises

at the end of the day, unless you are being competetive and looking for 1/4 here and there, its not too important. trial and error will give you what you are looking for.

have fun on the track though
