If they're rivets, drill them out. If that doesn't work (they spin), there are specialized bits that hold the rivet from spinning while it's drilled.

I think I would probably have removed them before it was powder coated if possible.

As mentioned drill them out, you will lose part of the rivet into the box section.

As they are now powdercoated why not just leave them in?

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Use the same size drill as the rivet, drill them out, the only problem is the back half will fall in the chassis and rattle around, take it slow so the rivet doesn't spin.
If that wasn't new powder coat you could use the ugly grinder then a small punch to knock them back into the chassis.

If you can hear a rivet end rattling in the chassis you are not going fast enough . You'd have to pick the chassis up and shake it with your ear next to it to hear anything like a rattle.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
