Ford v6 fits fine in a standard chassis, I have a 2.9 v6 in my locost. Only problem I have found is the hight above the top chassis rail.

There will almost certainly be issues with fitting the alternator- I think it'll need to be moved upwards and a different length belt fitted to compensate- otherwise it'll hit the 'J' or 'S' top rails.

It's a pretty heavy beast so make sure you calculate the power:weight such that you know it's worth using it!

Good Luck,

James

I would guess around 6.5

I would gues the std bhp will be around 160 - 170 after taking the standard 150bhp, added a pair of big exhausts and a performance filter.
The woeght will be around 750 - 800 (a complete guess) so a bhp/tonne of (160/800 8 1000)= 200

This is a guess so feel free to correct me.

Ewan.
