Silicone sealer remover....
Anyone used any form of silicone sealer remover?
Ive read mixed reviews about the Unibond one from B&Q.
I am helping my friend to remove the left over silicone from around the wind screen frame on his car.
We can get most of it off with the good ‘ole Stanley but he needs a clean surface for the re-spray.

The stuff I had was a complete waste of money. It came from B+Q but don't remember what it was called.
However, I needed it for finishing off cleaning a bath surround, for tiny amounts on paintwork it may be better.

I used the unibond stuff. It wasn't a miracle cure (the stuff still took some scrapping) but it sure made the job easier...

Well, isn't that a coincidence?? Have just been using the stuff today - but on a bath surround. My Dearly Beloved decided to remove the old,
rotten sealant, and so left me with the job of replacing it. Which I have done - finally. First attempt was a disaster, hence the need for the sili
remover.
As already observed, it still needed loadsa elbow grease. The tip re Sili Kill was useful - for the next time!!!!!
Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!
