Half term kids activities in Hampshire
Got 5 kids to amuse for a whole day next week (2, 2, 4, 4 & 7 years old). WE've done a lot of the local things to death; Itchen Valley,
Moors Valley, Lakeside Railway, Watercress Railway, Swimming...etc.
Anyone got any bright ideas what to do with them...?

Take them to the Island? The boat rip makes it feel like a proper holiday/day out. It is out of season, so the cost of the ferry is much lower. And
there is quite a lot to do once you get there...!

Boat trip to the IoW's not a bad idea, could always visit Carisbrook Castle.

Have you considered 'The Naval Museum' ( HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and The Mary Rose all on one site, although The Mary Rose is partially
closed off due to the new museum being built around it. However you can check the progress of this build 'on line' with a time delay film
of the build so far.) Whilst in the area you can also go over to the submarine museum at Gosport. All this can be accessed for the one ticket entry
price.
I must warn you that I am a bit biased on the good side about the Mary Rose because I did spend 2 weeks diving on her one summer holiday.

Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

2 year olds....hmm, not easy. But paultons isn't a bad idea at all. My kids used to like it a lot, and if the kids are under 1m tall they get in
free at least when we used to go...........

There's always the Adventure Wonderland near Bournemouth airport - they have a big indoor play area if the weather's not too good

Been to Milestones and it was OK, but the 2 year olds will destroy something for sure

Done the pool many times and only the 7 yr old is big enough for the slides. Plus there's only me and SWMBO so we can't keep them all
afloat all the time

There's a big one next to Marwell which TBH will probably be where we go if it's crap weather. Only downside is a wet half term day will
be busier than a French petrol station with petrol
