as above how hard is it to bolt a roll cage in

It's suitable anchor points that you will have trouble with. It will require welding plates and probably removing panels and floor.

the cage is made for the mk but it in kit form so it better to weld it in then but i going to spoil my powder coating

Only in the areas affected, and you can repair those with some decent paint the same colour. The powder coating will be flaking off soon enough
anyway, or at least it does on most kit cars, yours may be different.
