ERW Box Section - Size to Slide Fit

This is a little off topic, but I'm looking to find two sizes of ERW box secion.

I need one to be a slide fit into the other, reasonably snug fit but I will have a hand wheel bolt to stop it moving.

Does anyone know what are good sizes for this. I've not got anywhere I can go and test it.

I've been thinking 30x30x2.0 and 25x25x1.6 should be close. Obviously you've got the seam to take into account.

Anyone got any suggestions as whats a good fit?

I've also been seaching for a handwheel type bolt, but not having much luck as I'm not certain what they are actually called.

Thanks

Keith

Try "thumb wheel" that might bring more options up.

What lengths do you need?

B&Q/Homebase etc have a selection of sizes, but only up to about 2m in length I think.

what sort of handwheel do you need? we have plenty of handwheels, some with nuts internally, some with bolt shafts for use on office furniture.

I'm looking for something with an M8 Threaded Bolt Sticking out of it.

I want to weld a small boss on the ERW tube and use the thumb wheel to lock the tube.

Thanks

ERW does have a seam down the inside, but what I'm looking at building isn't structural, if I plan to have the seam on certain sides when I build it, it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks
