Brief delurk and hi to all
I'm just ready to start my project having been building up my mech skills a bit putting a nice old Mk1 Escort back on the road.
Have just a acquired another, this time a rot box to use as a base.
Pricing things up a kit or part built proj. seems easier on the wallet in the long run and I am veering towards buying my 1st chassis.
Have seen several rolling chassis locost proj cars for sale. One was a dedicated race car built for the series with full CDS cage and foam filled
tank.
Any reason this could not be made to pass SVA/MOT with some mods? I.e. Move battery.
Whats the going rate for rolling chassis?
PS anyone willing to do me a demo drive in the Hampshire area, I know how a fast Escort drives/handles but obvious PTW ratio differences have
implications I really ought to investigate before taking the plunge.
