Lower rails
Just uploaded first images of the bottom rails, and my new patented clamps! (copied from my old engineering co but we used 2" steel plate instead of
20mm MDF!)The rails turned out millimeter perfect after a bit of mild adjustment with a 8oz ball pein!. I partially tacked the lower parts of the
joints before continuoisly welding the uppers and the vertical butts, I have 4mm even distortion at the rear, but I know this will equalise once I
have welded the underside.
All the triangulations measured exactly spot on which was really reasuring.
Got a week off work so I hope to get all the H members and the front panel fitted tomorrow - watch this space!
