Pinto/Polo Rad upgrade
Hi,
has anyone who has done this conversion kept details of the amount (I realise that this may differ between cars but will give me some idea - I have a
Tiger Cat E1) & sizes of the hoses required?
I've decided to finally do the changes having had the Rad for probably 2 years or so.
Also, can anyone point me in the direction of the appropriate fan switch.
Cheers
Ray

Fan switch choice depends on what temperature thermostat you have fitted. The fiitting is M22 thread also used by some Vauxhalls Peugeots and
Fiats
If you have an 88c or lower stat the early Fiat Panda switch is a good choice -- no special electrical connector required. iNTERMOTOR 50230

Pinto has 32mm out of thermostat housing
38mm out of pump narrows to 32mm standard
Polo rad can be as small as 30mm

My polo rad was 32mm- conveniently the same as the Pinto upper.
There was a VW switch that worked at a suitable temp too... but was 5 years ago I bought it so no idea what that was now- sorry!
