Robin Hood Details
Hi All
I have just purchased a Unfinished Project, and was just want some details about the Robin Hoods, as I can't find a company website.
My car was decribed as "This is a Robin Hood, which they also call the Tub. All Stainless Steal welded together from the factory."
It was purchased from eBay, I get it delivered next week but will not see it for 4 weeks as I am away on business. So any info will be good.

Robin Hood cars are now GBS (Great British Sportscars) and no longer manufacture the monocoque (tub) car
which you have.
Your best bet for info is on the Rhocar website http://www.rhocar.org/

It looks like an early monocoque S7??? Go over to Rhocar http://www.rhocar.org/index.php?app=portal Plenty of help there.

Robin Hood was bought by Great British Sports Cars Ltd back in 2006, but they haven't made anything like that one since the mid to late
90's

i dont recall them ever calling a car the TUB. always happy to be proved wrong though. it sounds as if the previous owner might have miss heard
'2b', a later model using a tubular chassis, and not the one you have.
i cant recall the username but i'm sure that there is a member on the rhocar board that has recently got a monocoque car through IVA, who it
might be useful to track down.
we're taking a completed version of your car to hull on tuesday where its being sold to a dutch dealer. we've had ten years of fun out of
it and have sold it for 500 quid less than we bought it for. in which time its had one oil and filter change and one new ignition module.
good luck with the build. Stick your location on your profile when you register on rhocar and you'll have a local group that will be more than
willing to pop over, help out, drink your tea and eat all your biscuits.
the owners club did an engine swap for a member at the donington show, so theyre a helpful bunch

From the picture looks similar to the Sierra based one, will see once I get to see it.

It's definitely a Sierra based Robin Hood 'S7'. I think this is probably the Mk2
version given the standard sierra rear dampers are present.

There were some concerns about potential weaknesses in the monoquoque shell at the time and it would make sense to address these. This is certainly
not a show stopper and can be worked around. Take advice from the owners club and from GBS themselves as this could both save you time and trouble at
IVA time and enhance your ownership of the car.
Somehow I happen to have a complete windscreen for a Robin Hood S7 in my garage I keep falling over, you can have it for a song if its any use.

Early Sierra monocoque I have the later S3 version
RHOCaR forum is best, I am on that as well
There are a few particular issues to pass IVA but as said an Exmo version past a few months back
Join RHOCaR and look for Snapperpaul (me) and Chris Russ who passed this year
